What is your Archetype Personality?

Warrior through it. You got this girl. Just keep going. Sound familiar? Maybe even some of your own self-talk? Now, I’m not coming to you today to tell you these are bad things. Although, I am here suggesting that we need to take a look at what we might be ignoring when we push through. Personally, I had a health scare which I will share a bit more about soon. But, why I mention it is because I was consumed, although subconsciously, as being to some degree solely, the Wonder Woman Archetype.

What is an Archetype?

An archetype is an ideal example or model after which other things are patterned. It is what is considered a typical example of a thing or person. In literature, there are situation archetypes, setting archetypes, symbolic archetypes and character archetypes.

In my book, Brave Ecstatic Woman, I go through these 7 archetypes;

  1. Earth Mama
  2. Wild Woman
  3. Wonder Woman
  4. Love Goddess
  5. Story Teller
  6. Wise Woman
  7. Enlightened Mystic

So, when I refer to the Wonder Woman Archetype what I discovered was my body had been telling me something for sometime. And, whether I wasn’t listening or even just brushed it off — it was there. And as we know, the universe sometimes starts with a little nudge and that nudge can start to get a bit louder, and louder. Until we come to a place that we have to deal with it.

Therefore, while I was dealing with this it forced me to look at the energy around me.

It made me look at where I was getting my energy from and how I was balancing my body.

Does this sound familiar at all Beautiful Soul?

Have you found yourself there?

The Wonder Woman Archetype

Now, I believe we all have that Wonder Woman inside of us. Some of us are conscious of it where others not so much until it’s pointed out. However, although an incredible archetype it is best matches with the others. That balance. Because, let’s be honest Wonder Woman is pretty incredible, right?

Wonder Woman is where we are out of boxes and colouring outside of the lines.

And flat out just making it happen and getting it done.

However, what happens when we spend all of our time here — I know my experience was health related. Whereas others, may experience different moments or experiences that cause them to say ‘woah.

Back to Wonder Woman …

Now please know I do believe this archetype lives within men as well because it encompassed that adrenaline rush which in turn, elevates our cortisol levels. In this video I’ve included today, I talk a little bit about what that looks like, how it can affect us, and what we can do about it.

For quick reference here a few of the terms mentioned in this video;

Cortisol can help control blood sugar levels, regulate metabolism, help reduce inflammation, and assist with memory formulation. It has a controlling effect on salt and water balance and helps control blood pressure.

The adrenal glands are endocrine glands that produce a variety of hormones including adrenaline and the steroids aldosterone and cortisol. They are found above the kidneys.

Oxytocin is a neurotransmitter and a hormone that is produced in the body. From there, it is transported to and secreted by the pituitary gland, at the base of the brain. It plays a role in the female reproductive functions, from sexual activity to childbirth and breast feeding.

Dopamine and serotonin are both neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters are chemical messengers that regulate countless functions and processes in your body, from sleep to metabolism.

Lastly, I look forward to the results of your feminine archetype quiz! And as always please feel free to leave me any questions you have around this, I love playing in this space.
